» Rascal Flattered: Rascal Flatts opened their Live & Loud Tour Friday at Jones Beach in Wantagh, NY, and our insider was their to cover the action. "Flatts raise the bar every year," he says. "The boys are carried out on a moving piece of stage, and it's on! Hit after hit after hit. They opened with 'Life Is A Highway,' and a highlight for me was opener Cassadee Pope coming out to sing 'Easy' and 'I Won't Let Go' with them." The Voice season three winner Pope started the night follwed by The Band Perry. "The songs rock, but the showmanship is what blows you away," our insider says of TBP. "When 'If I Die Young' comes on it's as if Zeppelin just went into 'Stairway To Heaven.'"        


» Texas Road Houses: George Strait wrapped his 2013 Cowboy Rides Away Tour at the Alamodome in San Antonio in front of 73,086 fans Saturday (6/1), a new venue record for Strait. The show saw the 22nd and 23rd military family of the tour awarded with homes as part of the Military Warriors Support Foundation's Homes 4 Wounded Heroes, bringing the charity's overall total to 340. Strait also partnered with CID Entertainment for a charity auction at each stop that featured front row tickets and meet-and-greets, among other items. As of Saturday's concert, the auctions have raised $239,000 for The Jenifer Strait Foundation. Dates for the 2014 final leg of the tour are expected to be announced later this summer.




» Rum Runner: Kenny Chesney accepted an invitation from Seattle Seahawks' coach Pete Carroll to join the team for practice Friday (5/31). “Sports is such a big part of my life," says Chesney.   • Easton Corbin performed as a part of Southwest Airlines’ Live at 35 program Thursday (5/30) in association with Taylor Guitars. The travel-sized guitar he used will be given away in a sweepstakes held now through June 14. More here.
