» Body Slam: Seven of YouTube's most popular artists have collaborated with Hunter Hayes and Jason Mraz to perform "Everybody's Got Somebody But Me." Brandyn Burnette, Echosmith, Kina Grannis, Peter Hollens, Brian Landau, TJ Smith, Sam Tsui, Tessa Violet (MeekaKitty) and Tyler Ward created their own renditions of the song as well as contributed to a one-take "mash-up" video in which everyone sings with Hunter and Jason. Hunter also launched the CMT-sponsored Let's Be Crazy Tour last week (10/10) in Knoxville, TN. "I've been waiting for this for a long time," says Hunter of his first-ever headlining run. He had a hand in every aspect of production and even designed the set himself. "I've had drawings of the stage, very similar to the one we're using, in my notebooks from high school." » No Shoes, No Shirt, Two Reefs: "Just because I’m taking a minute to exhale before getting back to music," said Kenny Chesney, "doesn’t mean I’m any less committed to the world I live in!" Kenny has teamed with Building Conservation Trust to match the funds raised by the Coastal Conservation Association's project to place two man-made reefs in the mouth of Jacksonville's St. John River. "When you can have a hand in stewarding the health of the ocean," said Kenny, "you’re insuring the survival of something very necessary for all of us, whether you're a beach person or someone that won't go near the water. The ecological balance is very delicate, especially in Florida, so I am honored to help them achieve this goal."

» Appsolutely: Brad Paisley has invited fans to create their own music videos for "I Can't Change The World" using video-editing app Magisto. Fans are encouraged to use Magisto's "country" editing theme with music bed to "celebrate someone they know who has changed their world." Videos using #changedmyworld will be entered to win the grand prize of a Sony BluRay Home Theater System, a personalized video message from Paisley and his entire catalogue of albums. More here.


» Winner, Winner, Catfish Dinner: George Strait, Thomas Rhett, Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton and The Band Perry were among artists honored by the Recording Industry Association of America in September for digital downloads and on-demand streams of their singles and albums. "Give It All We Got Tonight" earned Strait's first Platinum Digital Single award and "It Goes Like This" brought Rhett his first Gold certification. Bryan and Shelton earned Platinum awards for their albums Crash My Party and Based On A True Story, respectively, while The Band Perry got their second Gold album award for Pioneer.


» The NeverEnding Story: If you don't know anything about Music City, Eric Church, The Civil Wars, Vince Gill, Emmylou Harris, Brett James, Kris Kristofferson, Martina McBride, Marty Stuart and many others will tell you the story on For The Love Of Music: The Story Of Nashville. Those who "live and breathe its inspiration" will discuss the Nashville music scene during the hour-long program to air on ABC-TV Nov. 3. Following that initial airing, the documentary can be seen in its entirety at www.abc.com. Unseen clips and extended artist inteviews will be available at that website, as well.
